Notice of Nonresponsibility - Corporation (Minnesota)

Given that many different parties may have an interest in a piece of property, it may sometimes happen that one party has authorized improvements to the property without consulting other parties in interest. Minnesota law allows for the party who did not authorize the work to serve the contractor with a notice that the non authorizing party will not be held responsible for the cost of the work and that their interest shall not be subject to a lien. Service may be made by personal service or by certified mail, or by posting the notice in an obvious place on the property. (more...)
